I've got a blank space, baby
I've been planning this project since the day we moved in. I even bought some of the materials before we knew kid 2 was on the way, and it nested in the depths of my garage for 5 years. Being stuck at home gave me some time to finally put this together - SO EXCITING! Our home has a large indentation in the back of the family room. I think it was intended for a mini-bar area, which was super popular in 90s new construction. At first, we used this area has a toy/kid crap nook, but eventually gave up and turned the living room into a playroom (I'll talk about that in a future post!). So, awkward indentation = BUILT INS. I LOVE BUILT INS. I would cover my home with built in everything if it was affordable and socially acceptable. But for now, my focus was on this corner. We needed a spot with storage, with shelving to display
